By using snoop.city ("Snoop," "the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What Snoop Is

Snoop is an AI tool that searches publicly available web sources, and an account-discovery service that takes an email address or phone number you provide and surfaces information that is already publicly posted or publicly exposed. From that single identifier, Snoop attempts to surface:

  • publicly posted accounts and profiles tied to that email or phone,
  • a location inferred from public signals, and
  • data-breach exposure shown as metadata only: which known service an email or phone appeared in, and roughly when. We never display leaked passwords, credentials, or the contents of any breach.

Your report is generated in part by an AI language model. To build a report, Snoop sends the identifier you searched to an account-discovery provider and to an AI search-and-analysis layer that searches the web and writes a summary of what it finds. That summary is produced automatically and is not reviewed by a human before it is delivered to you. Snoop summarizes publicly available information. It is not a private investigator, it does not access non-public records, and it is intended for personal use, such as reviewing your own public footprint, checking a new contact, or general personal due diligence.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Snoop only for lawful, personal purposes. You may not use Snoop:

  • For any purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"), including:
    • Employment screening
    • Tenant or housing screening
    • Credit, loan, or insurance eligibility
    • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA or equivalent state law
  • To search for, identify, monitor, surveil, or otherwise target a minor (any person under 18)
  • To stalk, harass, monitor, threaten, dox, or otherwise harm any person, including a current, former, or prospective romantic partner
  • To make a decision about a real person based on AI-generated claims, or to accuse, confront, or take action against anyone based on a Snoop report without independent verification
  • To violate any individual's privacy rights under applicable law
  • To discriminate against any individual based on race, gender, disability, or any protected class
  • To violate any data provider's terms of service
  • To resell, scrape, or redistribute results
  • To build a competing product
  • To commit fraud, impersonation, or any crime

Snoop is not a consumer reporting agency. We do not compile, evaluate, or sell "consumer reports" as defined by the FCRA, and our reports may not be used for any FCRA-regulated purpose. You may not use Snoop, or any information obtained through Snoop, to make decisions about a person's eligibility for employment, housing, credit, insurance, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA.

3. Accuracy and Limitations

Snoop reports are produced in part by an AI language model and are keyed only to the email address or phone number you enter. Please understand the following before relying on anything in a report:

  • The AI can be confidently wrong. AI language models can state things that sound certain but are inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or entirely fabricated. Treat every statement in a report as unverified.
  • A report can describe the wrong person. An email address or phone number can be shared, reused, recycled, or reassigned to a different person over time. When that happens, accounts, locations, or breach exposure belonging to two or more different people can be merged into a single report. Information attributed to "the person" you searched may in fact belong to someone else.
  • "Activity" and presence indicators may be false. Any indication that an account exists, that there is recent activity, or that an identifier appeared in a breach may be incorrect, stale, or mismatched.
  • No warranty of accuracy. We make no warranty that information in a report is accurate, current, complete, or that it applies to the person you intended to look up.

You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information before acting on it. Never treat a Snoop report as confirmed fact, and never use a Snoop result as the sole basis for any material decision about another person. Do not accuse, confront, contact, or make any decision about a real person based on a Snoop report without independent verification from a reliable source.

4. Subscriptions, Tokens, and Billing

Snoop sells searches using a token model. We offer a one-time report (a single charge, not a subscription) and recurring subscription plans billed monthly, every three months, or every six months. Each subscription includes a monthly search allowance.

The exact price, billing interval, and search allowance for each plan are shown to you at checkout before you pay, and each subscription auto-renews at that price and interval, automatically, until you cancel. A one-time report is a single charge and does not renew.

How tokens work:

  • A standard search uses 1 token.
  • A premium (deeper) search uses 3 tokens.
  • Your first search through the guided flow uses 2 tokens.
  • Your token allowance resets each month and does not roll over. Unused tokens do not carry into the next month.

Auto-renewal and your authorization. By starting any subscription plan, you authorize Snoop to charge your payment method on file the stated recurring amount, at the stated interval, automatically, until you cancel. The recurring amount and interval are shown clearly before you pay.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page at snoop.city/account, which opens the Stripe Customer Portal. When you cancel, your access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not issue partial-period refunds for the unused portion of a billing cycle.

Search and token packs. Any additional search or token packs you buy on top of a plan are one-time purchases. They are non-refundable because the searches are made available to you immediately.

Existing subscribers (legacy plans). If you subscribed under an earlier plan that we no longer offer to new subscribers, it continues to auto-renew at the price and interval shown to you when you subscribed, until you cancel. You can cancel anytime at snoop.city/account.

Pricing changes. Pricing is displayed at purchase and may change. If the price of your plan changes, we will notify you before the change takes effect, with instructions on how to cancel if you do not wish to continue.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Card data never touches our servers and we do not store your full card number.

5. Refund Policy

All refunds are discretionary and handled on a case-by-case basis. We offer a money-back guarantee on your first purchase, subject to the conditions below.

  • Eligibility. Refund requests must be submitted within 24 hours of your first purchase by emailing refund@snoop.city, using the email address you used at checkout.
  • Delivered reports and value received. Each search runs in real time against paid third-party data providers, and your report is built and delivered on demand. Once a report has been generated, delivered, and accessed, the value of that search has been provided, and that report is generally not refundable. This applies even to a single delivered report, and it applies whether the report comes back full or returns limited, sparse, or no results. As explained in Section 3 (Accuracy and Limitations), what a report contains depends entirely on the public footprint tied to the identifier you enter, and we do not guarantee that a report will be complete, accurate, or about the person you intended to look up. A delivered report is not refundable simply because the available data was thin, or because the results did not match who you expected.
  • Usage. Refunds are generally not available once you have received one or more delivered reports. If you have run searches and received your reports, you have received the value of the service, and a refund may be declined.
  • One refund per customer. The money-back guarantee applies once per person, per email address, per payment method. Repeated signups and refund requests may be declined.
  • Recurring renewals. Refunds for recurring renewals are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you forgot to cancel before your renewal date, contact us promptly and we will work with you.
  • Search and token packs. Additional search or token packs are non-refundable. The credits are delivered immediately and the purchase is final.
  • Processing time. Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days and returned to your original payment method.
  • Chargebacks. If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer instead of contacting us first, we reserve the right to provide the bank with evidence of service delivery (including records of searches used, emails sent, and account activity) as part of the dispute process. Please contact refund@snoop.city first. We respond quickly and can usually resolve issues faster than the dispute process.

6. Your Account

Access to Snoop is tied to the email address you provide at checkout. You are responsible for maintaining access to that email. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably suspect misuse (for example, sharing access, abusing rate limits, automated scraping, or reselling reports).

7. Intellectual Property

The Snoop brand, website, and backend code are owned by us. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. Do not reverse engineer, scrape, or resell it. You do not own the underlying information that appears in a report and may not republish or aggregate it.

8. Third-Party Services

Snoop relies on third-party providers to operate. Their terms apply to the services they provide, and we are not responsible for their outages, pricing changes, accuracy, or discontinuation.

9. Disclaimers

Snoop is provided "as is" and "as available," with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, accuracy, or any particular result quality. See Section 3 for important limits on the accuracy of AI-generated reports.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Snoop is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $100, whichever is greater). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits, excludes, or waives any right or remedy that cannot be limited, excluded, or waived under applicable law. Where applicable law does not allow the limitations or exclusions in this section, they apply only to the extent permitted, and your rights under that law remain in full force.

11. Indemnification

If your use of Snoop causes harm to another person or violates these Terms or applicable law, you agree to defend and indemnify us against any resulting claim, cost, or damage.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms, for misuse, or at our discretion. Upon termination, your license to use Snoop ends. Refunds upon termination, if any, are at our sole discretion, subject to Section 5 and to your non-waivable rights under applicable law.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or on-site notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
