1. What Snoop Is
Snoop is an AI-powered people search tool that aggregates publicly available data and information from licensed third-party data providers. It is intended for personal due diligence — e.g., verifying someone you just met, checking a new contact, or reviewing your own public footprint.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Snoop only for lawful, personal purposes. You may not use Snoop:
- For any purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), including:
- Employment screening
- Tenant or housing screening
- Credit, loan, or insurance eligibility
- Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA or equivalent state law
- To stalk, harass, threaten, dox, or otherwise harm any person
- To violate any individual’s privacy rights under applicable law
- To discriminate against any individual based on race, gender, disability, or any protected class
- To violate any data provider’s terms of service
- To resell, scrape, or redistribute results
- To build a competing product
- To commit fraud, impersonation, or any crime
Snoop is not a consumer reporting agency. We do not compile, evaluate, or sell “consumer reports” as defined by the FCRA.
3. Accuracy & Limitations
Search results are sourced from third parties and may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. We make no warranty that information is accurate, current, or applies to the person you intended. You are responsible for verifying any information before acting on it.
Never use a Snoop result as the sole basis for a material decision about another person.
4. Subscriptions & Purchases
- Subscriptions (Snoop Pro weekly/yearly) are processed by Apple via in-app purchase. They auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, via your Apple ID settings.
- One-time purchases (Deep Scan) are non-refundable consumable credits. Unused credits do not expire, but do not transfer across Apple IDs.
- Free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless canceled in Apple settings.
- Pricing is displayed at purchase and may change. Existing subscriptions continue at the original price until the next renewal.
All payment disputes are handled through Apple. We cannot issue refunds directly.
5. Your Account
Snoop uses an anonymous RevenueCat-assigned ID tied to your device. You are responsible for maintaining control of the device. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably suspect misuse (e.g., sharing access, abusing rate limits, automated scraping).
6. Intellectual Property
The Snoop brand, app, and backend code are owned by us. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose. Don’t reverse engineer, decompile, or resell it.
Results may incorporate data licensed from third parties. You do not own the underlying data and may not republish or aggregate it.
7. Third-Party Services
Snoop depends on third-party APIs (WhitePages, LeakCheck, OSINT Industries, xAI/Grok, Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple). Their terms apply to data they provide. We are not responsible for their outages, pricing changes, or discontinuation.
8. Disclaimers
Snoop is provided “as is” and “as available,” with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or specific result quality.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Snoop is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $100, whichever is greater). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
10. Indemnification
If your use of Snoop causes harm to another person or violates these Terms or applicable law, you agree to defend and indemnify us against any resulting claim, cost, or damage.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms, for misuse, or at our discretion. Upon termination, your license to use Snoop ends. Subscription refunds, if any, are handled by Apple.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
